Webinar: Changing the narrative on mental health and suicide

Providers interested in learning more about mental health and suicide prevention may attend an upcoming webinar on Tuesday, Oct. 22, from noon to 1 pm. Providers can register for the webinar here.

During the webinar, participants will hear from two suicide prevention coordinators with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), Jenilee Telander and Wil Sampson-Bernstrom. 

Objectives include:

• Understanding language when talking about mental health and suicide
• Becoming empowered to have conversations about mental health and suicide
• Increased ability to identify someone thinking about suicide

This is presented by a collaboration of Minnesota health plans with a focus on improving care for people with co-occurring diabetes and depression in Minnesota. Hennepin Health partners with Blue Plus, HealthPartners, IMCare, Medica, PrimeWest, South Country Health Alliance, and UCare to provide these webinars.
