Provider manual updates for 2025

Hennepin Health has made recent updates to its provider manual for 2025. Changes to the provider manual are made on an ongoing basis and will continue through 2025 as needed. 

Review a high-level summary of recent changes to the manual below:

  • Clinical services updates:
    • Section 5.3: Added information about disposable contact lenses to optical services.
    • Section 6.2: Added information about SNBC members with Waiver and SNBC members without Waiver to service authorization requirements.
    • Section 6.9: Added “Intervention – higher intensity: Adaptive behavior” to service authorization requirements.
    • Section 7.2: Updated language for SUD treatment.
  • Added Housing Stabilization Services and Moving Expenses as section 10.
  • Section 14: Added emergency room (ER) services to the Restricted Recipient Program.
  • Section 16: Edits to verbal or written complaints received by the provider.
    • Updated this complaint form to be titled Provider Complaint Form in the manual.
  • Sections 17 and 18: Various edits to Quality and Clinical practice guidelines. This was previously a combined section, now these are two sections. 
    • Edits to section 17: Updated sources for medical and behavioral health.
    • Edits to section 18: Additional information for HEDIS and advance directives.
  • Section 20: Various edits to the credentialing section for clarity and added updated information.
  • Section 21: Added language about Quality Management initiatives to provider rights and responsibilities.
  • Section 25: Small edits to language in the sub-contractual relationship and delegated entity section.
