Hennepin Health has made recent updates to its provider manual for medical record audits and advance directives. After a medical record audit, Hennepin Health will communicate identified areas of non-compliance with the provider and healthcare system. Targeted discussions or corrective actions may be requested to support improvement and ensure adherence to applicable standards. Hennepin Health is no longer conducting a separate audit as to whether or not providers are documenting advance directives in a patient’s medical record. Providers should continue to discuss advance care planning with patients, ages 18 or older.
