Hennepin Health previously communicated about prior authorization requirement changes as of Jan. 1, 2026. One clarification on EIDBI services is that providers must submit qualifying supervising professional (QSP) notes or supporting documentation to Hennepin Health every three months for all authorized services. Failure to comply may result in delays or disruptions in payment.
Reminder that clinical supervision must be provided for EIDBI services and indicated in the individual treatment plan (ITP). Providers must deliver 1 hour of clinical supervision by a QSP for every 16 hours of direct treatment per person, unless an exception is authorized in the ITP.
